Description
The Origin of Maeng Da Kratom
Thailand is one of the most popular exporters of high-quality Kratom in the world. Thanks to its plethora of jungles and rainforests, Kratom naturally grows in its richly acidic soil and hot and humid climate. Maeng Da Kratom
The Kratom tree, also known as Mitragyna speciosa, thrives in areas with high humus levels, acidic soils with a pH range of 5.5 to 6.5, as well as impeccable soil fertility.
Maeng Da primarily comes from Thailand but is also sourced from Indonesia, Malaysia, Papua New Guinea, and other surrounding countries along the Pacific Rim. The Kratom tree leaves have been in use for several decades in these regions.
It is only recently that the European and American markets have realized the significant gains offered by this natural and robust herbal plant, increasing popularity.
The Process Maeng Da Kratom
Like other Kratom strains, Maeng da comes in various vein colors that include the Red, Green, and White- Veined Maeng Da. The three differ in terms of the period of harvesting and the drying process.
But what makes Maeng Da stand out? For one, Maeng Da is created using a unique horticultural process referred to as grafting. The process involves bringing together different strains of Kratom with unique characteristics to create a hybrid strain.
The grafting process involves joining plant tissues together so they can continue their growth together. A wound is created on one of the plants such as the stem and then a portion of the other plant (bud or scion) is placed into that wound so that plant tissues can grow together.
This technique produces a hybrid strain with optimal alkaloid makeup called Maeng Da or “Pimp Grade” Kratom.
